Title: Early Ice BIG WALLEYE!
Post by: MnKayak on Dec 02, 2019, 08:48 PM: Got out on Mille Lacs lake yesterday to fish for walleye now that we can target them. It was a blizzard out which made a very tough and interesting walk out but the fish in the lake are worth it.

Thanks! Yes very slow day and glad I was alert. She came in minutes before we were going pack up too. No mille lacs is usually first ice mid December.

Yes it is. Use to catching panfish on camera so fun to see a big fish like that inhale the bait underwater.

Thank you. You should have bunch of lakes in that area with ice now. Probably heavily snow covered but I'm sure you will get out. Goodluck!

Thanks. Ya this lake produces quality walleye. It's always hit or miss out there but if you do get into them, there are usually nice ones.
