2" to 2 1/2" Ice on Sandwich's Lake Holiday This Morning!

With my IceGator & Retractable ruler in hand I did some scouting!

At 7:00 this morning I checked behind the lodge off the piers and on ice that formed last night it was 2 1/2" thick. Yesturday morning it was open water.

Down at the handicapped pier near the dam it was 2" and also open water the day before!


So with tonights temps my "GUESS" is there will be 3" to 4" by tomorrow morning.

I went to check Silver Springs but the gates were CLOSED sorry!

 That sounds great. It sure would be nice to get close to 3 months of fishing on Hardwater.

Silver springs had two inches on it checked it out this morning hear about shabbona yet?

also how do you do on silver springs crappie are hard to find but when i ran into a school never caught one over 9 inches and the gills are really small info on that would be a appreciated.
