What's the first lake you dudes plan on hitting?

I know we would all love to jet up north at the first word of solid ice but in reality which lake do you think you will hit first?

Since I live in SF I will prob hit something around the Brookings area when I get word of good ice.  Maybe Thompson or Fish Lake.  Maybe Whitewood, I have done very well there the past 2 yrs right away after the freeze.  May get a wild hair and drive further north if they get good ice pretty early.

First Lake will probably me Mitchell, but I usually hit a stock pond first. Its usually fishable a few days before the lake is.

Being new to the area will stay closer to the SF area.  Most likely hit Wall or Alvin first.

Over here in the black hills deerfield will freeze first. If I can, I hold out for another week and hit stockade lake. Are you eastern guys getting ice yet?

Nope to warm yet, it wont be long though.

Right now I don't care which lake it is, as long as I can get out.

I've been out ice fishing sics last week and  been getting sum good  size trout

Well I won't be home till after the New Year, I plan on doing Pactola and then a tourney or 2 shortly afterwards. I need to pic me up a Clam with Trap so i can take my Kids out. Man I hate that I'm missing some of the Season.

had decent luck there last summer, haven't ice fished it much, but it is kind of "the" place to be with so many lakes having a bad winterkill last year.
