My home made Russian Tip-up.

Hi! My name is Ilya, I live in Russia. I will open the theme at your forum. I very much love winter fishing. For winter fishing I do tackles itself. Here my winter Tip-up.

I like those Tip-ups.. What kind of fish do you catch with them?  Lets see more pictures of Russian ice fishing...

Coil reel I grease with silicone greasing. We fish to temperature -32 With and freezes nothing

Ha those are cool!

I dont see the line freezing being a problem if you hand line the fish up. There wouldnt be any water on the spool to freeze if you hand line it.
I caught a fish once!

Great pictures..Do you have alot of lakes close by to fish?  Other than pike what else do you catch??

Thanks all for a good meeting on your site! I Tip-up really work, can not doubt. I these Tip-up have thought up itself. When we will have a fishing from ice I will lay out more photo and video. At us it is a lot of lakes with fish. On these tackles I catch a pike, a perch, a pike perch(Zander).

Those are definitely a different take on tip-ups.  Here in the states, from what I've mostly seen, their mostly made of wood, not much metal used here.

I've heard of Zander before, never seen one though.  They import them around here and sell them for friday night fish fry, because they taste identical to walleye.
