It’s a weird winter. The temperature at Sucker cove when I got there at 0630 on Sunday was 29 degrees. That’s about 40 degrees warmer than it was last year on virtually the same day. Not much ice left at SC, but we fished there until around 11 with no bites. We were on about 6 inches of good ice, but not sure how much longer that will last with this warmth and wind. From there we went to Stoll Mountain and caught one 17 inch bow on a white tube jig before calling it a day. Ice there is about 8 to 10 inches. Only issue is crossing the pressure ridge to get out to the fishable water. Talked with a few others and it seems like it was pretty slow all around.
