I’m thinking about headed out to Don Williams Saturday with my three kids, 8,6 and 3 for a quick outing. Has anyone been out? How’s the ice?

Was there a couple weeks ago and the ice seemed to be more or less fine, we stayed down at the south end and ice was 6”-8” but had a LOT of refrozen snow/slush on top making walking rough, hopefully some of that warmer weather we had after that melted that clean

I’m going to try Don Williams out for the first time this weekend.

Should be a great day for it! It’s a nice little lake with good access, we’ve had our best luck fishing the edges of the basin and keeping an eye out for suspended fish movin thru, tight lines!

Fishing was pretty slow on Saturday. Water seemed really stained.
