Do most guys use glow during daylight as well as night?

It seems to help when ice and snow depth reduce the light below and more so, with added depth. ;)2

Ill have to try it this weekend. Fishing a small pond i know is loaded with crappie and gills.

Depends on water clarity, ice thickness and snow on top. If it's darker than more normal conditions down there then, probably yes. Heavy overcast can effect light penetration as well. If in doubt give it a try, they'll let you know if it makes a difference to them

Water is pretty clear. Maybe 8foot depth. I was watching the crappie swim by and chase minnows my dad had just dumped down a hole. They literally swam right by my jig like it wasnt even there. Its like they couldnt or didnt want to see it. Since im on a plastics kick i didnt have any bait haha!

I find that Glow rarely hurts the bite. However a green or orange might be better in lighter conditions.

Sound like they are keyed in on minnows and not the zooplankton that your jig is mimicking. Try a minnow jig like a Chubby Darter...

Thinking ill try a white glow jig with white plastic tail to somewhat imitate a minnow. That or some gulp minnows

Red Glow jig can give the impression of a dying/crippled/vulnerable minnow, day or night. They often won't work any harder than they need too for a decent meal if not in a feeding frenzy

I use glow all hours of the day glow red seems to work the best for me on craps

Ii always use red glow after dark and with heavy snow cover

I usually always start with a glow lure, I like white, green or pink. I then adjust if I'm marking fish, or if it's light enough and I can use my camera and see them, and their not biting. Glow plastics seem to work well also.

I use them all the time, or at least try them. I charge them up real quick and see if they are biting.
