A few more from a similar post I made a couple of years ago:

You might be an icefisherman if....

The EPO says "I'm not walking on that, bring your license over here to the shore so I can see it."

Until you learn to truly enjoy the taste of a PBR slushy.

Until you've sat on a five gallon bucket, in -15 degrees with a twenty mile an hour wind, in the middle of Lake Champlain and successfully rolled a cigarette while your three buddies stand in front of you with their jackets open as a wind block.

Here's my top 12. All are true experiences(i have a lot more) except the last one.

You have broke through ice over 6'' a dozen times BUT, still go out on ice less than 2''.

You take your car out on ice less than 8''.

You always think of your tip downs when going by a playground.

You really don't need toilet paper when icefishing.

A DNR officer asks ''how are you doing?'' You respond with ''crappy'', as the officer is checking your pile of crappies.

Your to broke to buy bait so you dig up nightcrawlers from your garden.

You wait for a hour for a guy to move from a unproductive hole to use it. The 1st drop of your jig gets a slob gill, and the guy is pissed off.

You drive over 2 hours to buy icefishing equipment.

You fish alone at night on unknown waters.

You stay out fishing till 2am and decide its too late to go home so you stay for the morning bite.

You almost get devorced when you get home after fishing.

You can't wait foe the water treatment plant pond to freeze so you can fish the sewer carp.

You drive 40 miles to get just the right bait to use on a lake 60 miles away.

Your shortcut to the lake takes you 2 1/2 hours out of the way.

You leave in the dark for the lake and drive home in the dark from the lake.

You lose your glasses down the hole while sight fishing.

When 5 of your closest friends have an intervention to force you to get professional help for your jig addiction.

It is scary. I can remember starting my auger mid July and my wife coming out of the house and just giving me "that look"

Awsome, can't stop laughing, cuz it happened to me, lololol

...you buy a tin of Skoal at the gas station and you don't chew, just wanted something to keep your waxies in.
(I dumped the chew in a trash can in the lot of the gas station.)

When 3 lures/jigs of every size and color available "might be enough".

you have 3 icefishing tackle boxes, for big fish days,  for "whatever might bite" days, and one for panfish days

when you have 4 augers available in 2" increments

when a homemade shanty, a clam 3000, and a Genz fishtrap are just about enough

when you buy more "must have" tackle before the next season, only to find, you already purchased the same stuff at the end of the last season

when your quad has rod racks, tire chains, GPS, a saddle bag with 24 bungee cords, and two 2" x 10"s x 8" straped to the bottom

when you need "extra of eveything" just in case your best friend might go icefishing this year

when you can spot a utility marker at 800 yards while going 65 mph

You give your wife money so you can fish longer.
You find a new job closer to a lake or pond so you can get there sooner.
You put a jigging rod in the trolling board in your boat, and actually use it.
If fishing was work I'd never be sick!

You get excited in April because several lakes in the area that had been wide open for two weeks were crusted over again this morning.

To stay in practice over the summer you jig for browns...

...in the toilet. ;)
Fish may be stupid but I've never seen a perch sitting in a boat with a second degree sun burn trying to catch a man.
