Ice reports and conditions I found
« on: Mar 05, 2017, 10:12 PM »
Took a drive up to alburg and back today, I stopped at maquam, cambells, went down white church road and drive over to dellenback. They were all open water or freshly iced places except for maquam. There were some people fishing in maquam so I take it that the ice was safe and did not walk out, however I did walk out in the other places and found 1.5-2 inches of ice with the spud bar. I decided that was not going to work for me and I ventured over to Fairfield pond. Where I fished on 8 inches of good and hard black ice, and caught way more fish then I was expecting to get there, I have a camp on the pond and therefore know the lake very well and I suppress myself today when I left with a full pale of yellows and sunnies.
