Setting a carb
« on: Dec 26, 2017, 06:02 PM »
I have a older Jiffy auger which has been fantastic , just a 8 inch but super fast spinning from day one , but my choke seems to not work as it should anymore ? A lot of pulling to get it running which usually leaves a finger missing some skin ! Anyone know of someone who is reasonable in adjusting etc a carb ? would prefer to pull in with it and leave with it as I am rural

Yetmans can sell you a new carb for about $40, that what I paid a couple years ago because of the same problem. don't even bother with the carb kit.

Carb kits are usually $15-20 anyway and a couple hours work if you know what the doing. Just did mine a week ago. $40 for a new carb sounds like a deal!

I bought the carb kit but still couldn't get mine to prime properly so I went back and bought the hole carb. I think I paid $11 for the kit and the carb was $35-40.
