Fished arod today and caught 6 hammerhandle pike and 1 jumbo perch out of round lake. We had 3 pike break our lines off (last time I have any mono line on my tip ups)and probably had around 12 or 13 flags go up.  :tipup: :tipup: :tipup:

Try the 30 lb. fluorocarbon if you don't like steel leaders.

I love it and it hasn't cost me a pike yet.  The stuff is super abrasion resistant , just follow their instructions regarding lubing your knots.

Thanks. We had steel leaders on but we had mono between that and the braided line and i think it was just too small of line. I dont think those pike really care if you have a big steel leader tied right to your braided line.

Don't use anything other than steel on Peck.  Last year, every tip up with 30 pound flourocarbon that I had got broke off.   >:(
