Title: SIMPLE HEALTHY FISH RECIPE
Post by: Joe in T.C. on Feb 19, 2019, 05:08 PM
Here is a healthy and tasty way to prepare fish.

Just a little salt, pepper and a touch of olive oil.

For the salt, you have many choices, mined salt, sea salt, kosher salt, different kinds, colors, and flavors. There are probably as many choices for pepper. We like garlic salt and fine ground black pepper.

Brush or rub your fillets with about a teaspoon of olive oil
Sprinkle each fillet with a little salt and pepper

Heat your cast iron or non-stick skillet to med-high heat.
Sear the fillets for about three minutes on each side or until just done. The flesh should be slightly opaque towards the center. The searing locks in the flavor and moisture for a wonderful dish.

Serve with steamed vegetables for very nutritious High Protein meal that is Low Fat, Low Carb, Low Calorie, and Low Sodium.

Absolutely, the zipper technique is great.

I always use it on pike, bigger walleye and most large fish.

On smaller fish, I tend to leave the fillets whole.

These were kind of borderline, but luckily there was no strong flavor on them.
