I see you had enough sense to take the picture at the grocery store and not actually buy some! Lol.
Now I could see putting them on a tungsten jig and jigging for Perch though!

2012...... That was a short but sweet season........I even made the highlight reel! lol!   Always great fishing with you guys!

If I don't find some open water soon I'm gonna FREAK!

Rick and Peggy just got back from upper Saranac , brought home a bucket of beautiful smelt, and did battle with a big laker, on 2lb. test !! Peg was ecstatic!

Great hoodie  ;)

Yea, Perch eyes work, why not! I know a spot behind a McDonald's backing up to a Pond where a guy gets fries out of their trash and catches Carp!

I got on okay off the north shore yesterday afternoon. First 50 yards of ice was iffy, then the next section was crust then slush then soft ice. Once I got out a ways there was 10" - 12" of snow and no slush. The ice with no slush was more solid too.

Put 2 Keeper eyes back. Kept 20 perch. Also caught a nice burbot that swallowed the hook. Going to see how they taste.

Yo Bruce,

How to go bud. I am stuck in the house trying to finish up the hard wood floor before my Sweeta-Rita gets back from NOLA. Still got to put the base board and molding back on and she gets off the plane at 1 PM today. After that I am going to chase the waning ice with you young guys. I need a partner though. Don't go out this time of year with out one and a spud. Hey, I might coin that expression. If you go out late ice season, "Take a bud and a spud"

Not to be deterred, looks like they went right back out. So shore ice is weak?
