I got in on the action too.Fished 3 straight days : 2 afternoons and a morning on both the east shore and south....very good walleye bite. Fun Times.
3 limits of eater size walleyes , many throwbacks and lots of shorts. Perch were hard to find.
Walking and dragging equipment is getting tough on this old guy.

Great job by all  of you guy's that scored...nice to see so many kids and families out there fishing.

Bring a smitty sled with you. There was a couple inches of snow with the occasional drift. As far as parking was I don't know I fish out of the north side.

chapman park has plenty of parking. The drag is not bad, after the rain today the drags should be a lot easier.

thanks guys, i don't fish Oneida very often - usually go to Cayuga and Sodus but didn't get a nibble on Cayuga last weekend and Sodus was a miss

how's the fishing off Chapman park? looks like this year has been great for Oneida - what have you guys been using for minnows?

Dead sled. Thanks to all that offered help with the sled. He wound up going to Apps Mon morning and Rick is going to get him out. Thanks . That's why I always buy a lure  as well as bait every time I  go to Apps. Gotta help them stay around because they are there when needed. Also there are a lot more great folks out there. Also caught keepers with that rap.

At least two out of the three I caught Friday were female as I noticed the eggs when I was cleaning them.  The two I cleaned Sunday were males.

We've cleaned a dozen and 10 were males 2 females. PP, I bought a Lowrance Hook 5 Ice Machine so I could use it both soft and hard water and hate to say it but..... I'm starting to like it more than my Vex!

I love fishing with my vex, but the Hook 5 has Navionics+, so it gets to go if I'm scouting. Think I can tell fish size, and bottom composition better on the Lowrance too.

Another great day on Oneida...We hit the north shore Sunday morning to find perfect conditions.  The bite was consistent throughout the morning finishing with a nice mix of eyes and perch.

Great job on all the walleye guys heard alot of good reports of walleye cooperating I decided to try for perch this weekend first time back out since receiving my new transducer. I took home 21 slobs Saturday ranged from 9 1/2"  to biggest being just shy of 14" . Tossed back a bunch under 9" . It slowed to a crawl by 11ish but managed few more slobs before I left . Alot tougher bite Sunday I went back to same spot and managed 12 more slobs biggest being 13". No eyes at all which surprised me not even a short. And 2 slime darts one which was 25" I thought it was a really good eye coming up then he showed himself  >:(
