Tough but rewarding bite

Bite was quite tough today, but managed to squeak by with some decent catches.



The river I fished was a great fishery back when I had a boat there about 15 years ago. Over time, it's been decimated by overfishing, likely due to social media and some high profile bass tournaments nearby on the St Lawrence river.

It holds a special place in my heart, as I spent hundreds of memorable days on it with my late father and my kids, up until I sold the boat a dozen years ago. Makes every good catch there a little more rewarding  :)
