Things are looking up

A0fisher:
Word is:  Kirwin has limited fishable ice and not all prime spots at Glen are accessible.  Fishing is extremely poor.  I might not tell you when fishing conditions/success is great, but I'll tell you when they aren't.  ;) ;D  But tomorrow is another day...

I don't plan to get on the ice before the weekend...

Flint:
I spudded from a dock today on my usual spot, only about 1.5” thick. Seen the news out at Kirwin

MT_mulies:
I live down by Dodge City. Yesterday on a little lake in my area, I skootched about 10 feet out onto the ice to drill a hole and test thickness. It was about 1.5 inches. Give it another 2-3 days and the ice will be safe if we keep building. I'm originally from Montana and have learned that as long as it stays under 32 degrees, you gain about 0.5-1 inch of ice every day. Once it hits 4-5 inches I will be out there fishing!
