Stolen equipment
« on: Dec 30, 2007, 04:11 PM »
My wife and I had plans to fish lake Champlain for the long weekend. Spent a couple of days fishing Shelburne pond and carry bay with the bite being pretty slow. Got up this morning from the hotel in Burlington to fish back at Carry's and someone had smashed the side window in my truck and stolen my equipment. It's a local fisherman because they even took my bait from the back of the truck. I'm hoping that it's a kid and might use my stuff without changing anything. The traps are painted different colors so we can tell who they belong to at the end of the night. Some are yellow, some are bright pink. The also got my pack basket, 5 ultra light jig rods,a small tackle box of jigs, and a bait bucket that is white on bottom and yellow on top. If anyone sees my equipment, or hears about it for sale could you post it or let Cheryl know at Rays in Burlington, she has my e-mail.

Thanks

Wakefieldfisher -

Sorry to hear about your loss. I talked to you and your wife last Thursday after we came off the ice at Shelburne Pond.  I live in Burlington a few blocks from Ray's and routinely leave my gear in my truck; guess I'll have to reconsider doing that.  Like the others I'll keep an eye out for anyone using your stuff.

I'd just like to remind everyone to keep a lookout for my equipment. I watch ebay & craigslist, nothing yet.
