Have a small lake I'm fishing that is frustrating me. I'm only able to catch 6-8 crappie per trip. Usually 4-6 hrs of fishing. They're all keepers but can't find good numbers. For you all that are more experienced is that typical for crappie on small bodies of water? 30 acres. New to ice fishing. Thanks for any input

Small lake, it's a numbers thing - especially in the keepers.
I find that tiny lakes or ponds with good keepers will not put out numbers. It's like you take a few, they sort of notice their buddies disappearing and they bite less.

Find the deepest water , drill your holes at least 1/2 hour before sunset, or when sun hits the tree tops. Use 1/16 oz glow jigs or spoons, try different glow colors, don't make noise or walk around . Fish with a spring bobber, bite should occur as sun sets & 90 minutes into darkness, some times longer but then it slows.

Thanks for the input. Will keep trying. Might have to move to some bigger water or try at night
