Hey all, just wondering if there's any specific lure or color pattern that's been working well this year for perch and bluegill. I know last year that glow green was pretty hot.
-
Yellow chartreuse, hot yellow, and flame red for perch, blaze orange for gills and seeds,
-
Chartreuse and black Hali jig with a small shiner head for perch
-
glo chart-head red bloodline, works every year.

Pink, both UV hi-vis & glo, white w/red stripe, hi-vis chartreuse all work for perch & gills for me so far this season.

For bibbets, bright orange (close to color of perch pectoral fins) have worked great for me. For a lure/jig, the Northland rattle-type in silver ( I paint on a splash of flouro. orange) have been really good. I think that rattling sound pulls them in.

Lots of good lures out there. Right now I like the clam drop kick with a small quick clip on the line. Really can make it dance in place and hooks well. So far green has worked for me. Also throws a good mark for it's size on the finder. A bit pricey but works.

This setup with a little piece of garden helper is my go to for crappie.

I have not tried that. Normally I use spikes or plastics. Something to keep in mind.
