I will put some pics up of the "mutant" I am building for Tom when I am finished with it. It is black matte blank with vivid red and grey thread. The tapered grip is red cedar and finished with gun stock oil. It is not too frilly.

This is an SC-3 St. Croix that I built last summer..

Illusion guides with Sulky "salt and pepper" thread.

Natural cork grip with red burl accents and a Tich seat

Four coats of Flex Coat "light", and a Tich keeper aimed for a right handed man who reels lefty. ;)

These are the only pics I have on photobucket, I will find some more.

Very nice work Skipper, I'm sure you'll be getting some comments about the Marmish too, thanks, Don

Its grait to see so many rod engeneers out there. And there all good looking rods. There is one thing I have been adding to my own short rods is a very large rod tip .( most longer rods have small eye tips ) It wont freeze solid when your not in the ice house.
Question. Has anyone caught smallmouth bass  through the ice? my local lake has tons of them, but I have never caught one or seen any one pull one out through the ice. (Take a kid fishing and save our sport) Joe.
