has anybody had any experience with the Lacrosse Alpha Burley's, Ive been thinking about getting a pair for fishing and deer hunting. Ive been looking at the pair with the 1500 grams of thinslte

I don't know about the alpha's, but I have a pair of Burly's with 800 grams thinsulate and they keep my feet warm and dry on the ice.  The 1500's should be more than enough - especially with that new shanty you are showing off.  Nice job.

I have a pair that are 1200 i use them for bow season and gun the get a little warm walking around during bow but for gun and ice fishing usually were a thin pair of socks and a think pair over that and my feet rarely get cold .They also slid on and off easy unlike some of the other boots I have had. Great boot for the price ;)

Ive had a pair of 1000 gram for 4 months now...very warm with a good wool sock, love the tall height too.
