Hey Cutter,

Do you really want the warmest suit....or rather the best for what type of fishing you do?  I've been fishing for a long time in central/northern Maine and have seldom needed the warmest suit made, but rather the best for the occassion.   The warmest is in fact frequently the worst choice.  What state are you fishing in?  Pop-up, Permy, or hanging out in the wind like I do?  Do you ride onto the ice or walk?  Jig fishing around the ice, or stationary?   Not to be difficult, but give us some additional info and we'll be better prepared to answer your question.

Take Care,
Brian

Ditto.  For the $, you cant go wrong with carharts.  I still have an old pair of black lined that I refuse to give up, despite my wifes attempts to get ride of them.

Snosuit hands down , warmest most comfortable and durable .  The new Icesuit is a bit lighter , and has the same features as the Snosuit ...

I have never been cold in my strikemaster suit and they have a great price tag on them.

Absolutely! Read some other threads on the I.D.I. Suits and they say "too warm". I have just adjusted, long johns, pants and a flannel shirt is usually enough for me. Warmer days I have omitted the long johns even. And it floats!!! As for durability, it's my third season with my I.D.I. Suit...hopefully I'll get back to you ten years from now.

Me 2 (just in Michigan) and have never been cold in my Artic Armor. Usually have to leave the coat 1/2 zipped to be comfortable in all but the coldest/windiest days. Just watch the sizing, it runs screwy and try it on with ur layers prior to buying.

I wear my Ice Armor suit from Clam when its going to be warm or in the shanty, or the need will be there for a lot of moving.  When its bitter cold, the Vexilar suit is the warmest one I have tried, excellent insulation.
