new to ice fishin, went to petroila no bites, went to yellow water 2 weeks before no bites, going to try castle rock this weekend what part of the lake is the best?

Petrolia and Yellow water havent been kind to me either.. I havent tried Castle rock yet but reports dont sound good there either.. I think I might have to try some BIG water soon..

If your new to fishing and just need to get into some fish you should head to east fork by lewistown. You can catch tons of perch there. Small jigs and maggets.

Petrolia is hit or miss but I guess that's fishing

headed out thursday to petrolia    see if i can get some fillets. Hopefully be posting pics

Fished Saturday on the south end. Caught 6 little pike. Hit on minnows and anything attachedto them. Bite died as soon as the front moved in.  8-10" of ice on the south end, gets thinner the closer you get to MPC's pump station.

we fished it sat got there at about 8:30 fished south west side by in a black popup hut and didnt catch anything used minnows. there was 3 of us all had 6 lines out must been in the wrong area?

Keep the updates coming, i'm gonna have to make it down there one of these days, maybe this weekend.  Howd you do on Petrolia Skunkt?  BTW - where are ppl getting your minnows?
