Any tips on Lake Evergreen?
« on: Dec 29, 2010, 06:48 PM »
Hey fished Evergreen a few times over the last week.... haven't had the best success just a few gills here and there. Just wondering if there are any spots of the lake that are prime for saugeyes and crappies or maybe a couple areas to explore for both? thnks

I hear ya, ive been out there afew times but i cant find anything, iv even resorted to drilling next to old holes thinking they might know something, maybe they were yours haha. The few times ive been there ive seen guys on the "south" end, there is 3 points and it looks like there setting up almost triangelating off those 3 points, and working the east bank, dont know what they were catching or if they were.

Yeah... I dont think there is an abundant amount of structure left underwater this year and wonder if thats making the fish roam more in search of food or if I just dont know the lake well enough to find the structure there besides transitions points and bars. But I appreciate all input and I am going to keep trying... thanks

Do you have a flasher? Plenty of fish where there are plenty of holes. Or try some of the other traditional spots.
The local crappie seem to hang out in same areas all year round.

Better bring some long boards and a spud bar if going anytime soon. E and B seem to be rising with melt.
