This may sound weird(sp?), but I keep white rice in the compartments of my tackle box.  Got this from keeping rice in the salt shaker to keep out moisture.  It seems to work, no rusted hooks or jigs.
Happiest when on a frozen lake!

Silica packets work. And you can get them from many different places...If you use the ones from beef jerky then your hooks will be scented next season ahah.

Have a few very old flutter spoons that I keep in a small jar of alcohol just to be sure. Could never replace them.

No, but they are ALL metal spoons, silver, brass & copper. Never did it with newer composits and/or painted. All the other stuff I just rinse off, dry and put it where it'll stay dry.I Leave the cases cracked open just in case.

VCI RUST INHIBITOR CHIPS these work very well,i have used them for about 5 years. They are strips of cardboard that are coated with rust inhibitor and i cut them into small pieces and put them in all my boxes.I think gander mtn sells them.
