Has anyone been up on the ice in some of the bays yet this year? I live in central VT, and its a long trip up there just to have a bust for poor ice conditions. I know we have some cold weather coming this weekend.
Thanks everyone.

Most of the bays have had good ice for a while now. The spots that are currently being fished (that I've seen) are:
south side of Sandbar
Lavigne Road at Keeler's Bay (rest of the bay is not safe yet)
Hibbard Bay in The Gut (most of the Gut is still not safe)
Carry Bay
That's as far north as I've been, but I know they've been fishing Dillenbeck for quite a while, too. By next week we should be able to go just about anywhere! Good luck!

Fishable ice at sandbar south, keelers bay, parts of the gut, carry bay, dillenback and north of the 78 bridge. Alburgh west shore is all open now.
