I just hope the snow don't insulate the ice and stop the icemaking process.

I've become bitter and cynical in regards to our weather guessers lately.  Significant snow I will believe when I see. ::)

Ice in Indiana has been non-existent since a little after the New Year.   The brave/skinny guys are out on the thin stuff but not I.

Anyway, some buddies and I are wanting to venture north to do some ice fishing but are clueless as where to go.  We're considering Michigan or southeast Wisconsin.

Can anyone reccomend somewhere to fish in southeast Wisconsin?  Is there even ice?

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
W. Amos

the ice in southeast Wisconsin is unsafe to non-existent. central to northern Wisconsin is your best bet. the temps are taking a nose dive starting tonite but a major winter storm is raging as I type this. The snow may insulate the ice somewhat. Hope this helps. I live in Milwaukee.
