My brother and I have fished Orman a few times at night this year and not done any good.  Years past we have done very well at night out there.  Haven't found the spot yet I guess.

Fished Jenny overnight two weeks ago and conditions were terrible... jaw jackers and thermal insulated tip ups froze solid overnight... that said, alewives and fatheads remained untouched (huge bummer we were hoping for a gator).... had two hits on jawjackers, one slightly after dark and one just before sun up... nothing worth camping for though--froze our a**** off. Bite has been quite good right at sunrise though... slammed a laker (lakers in the gulch? news to me) and then around noon is when we've seen pike action.... seems like the pike are either alive or completely dead all day... sigh.

Side note... looking at hitting Bear Butte for the first time this weekend... any pointers? Are the channel cats in there worth targeting? Any info or pointers would be greatly appreciated... PM if need be...  THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP!!!

I've rented shacks where the only time fish but were at night. Keep trying.
