Bait Shop.
« on: Dec 29, 2010, 12:06 PM »
Hey Guys,

looking for a little help on bait shops around Raymond.  Also has anyone fished Angle Pond in sandown, if so what was the ice like.  Looking to take my 4 year old out.  Is the lake worth fishing, I have a friend with house on the lake which works good for the 4 year old.

Thanks.

The closest bait shops to Raymond that I'm aware of are the old Steve's Sportsmens Den on Rt 28 in Hookset and Wildlife Sports in Manchester at the Auburn traffic circle.

I was working in Raymond last winter and remember that if you take a left out of the hannaford parking lot across from dunkins there was a huge orange sign for bait a little ways down the rd. maybe just into the chester line? Hope that helps.

My cousin fished Angle the other day. We go there once or twice a season and take all the neices and nephews. Good pond for flags for the kids. For bait near by there is Granite State Dock on 28 in Derry. I just bought a jet sled there this afternoon and they had shiners. Good Luck!

There is a guy in Chester off 102 across from Wason pond who sells them out of his house. I get my bait from him and he has great bait at great price. It is best to call him first to make sure he is home.
If I'm not fishing then I'm not happy

Don's Market in Hampstead but he opens at 8 am........Angle Pond has a nice fishery.........mostly shallow pond, fish can and will be anywhere you drop a line. Expansive shallows with one small 25 foot hole on the Western shoreline. Good luck...

Thanks Guys,

I just went to the state website and found a list of Licensed Bait Dealers in the state.  Nice setup Phone & Town info for each dealer. Screaming Wolf is listed.
