Has any one ever gone into the states to go ice fishing.
-
I haven't but thought about a couple of places - e.g. Cascade lake in Idaho or Devils Lake in MI.
Were you thinking of anything specific?

I used to live in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Ice fished lots there. Just about every lake there has decent fishing.

I was thinking cascade lake this summer for camping and fishing

Cool! Yeah that would be pretty in the summer. I think you would probably enjoy the heck out of that. Thee are also way more opportunities in the summer like the surrounding rivers.

Snake river on the way there
Payette lakes are not far from Cascade

Washington state is a good place for big walleye. They consider walleye a garbage fish and there is no catch limits.

I'm thinking of going to Flaming Gorge Utah for lake trout. They get some monsters out of there. Also looks like some awesome scenery.
