White Deer Golf Course.
« on: Feb 20, 2007, 05:24 PM »
Most people don't know this but tou are allowed to fish these ponds. This is a public golf course and is paid by the tax payers. I use to to work for the Lycoming County and asked the county if they can kick you off for fishing they said no due to the fact of it being paid for by tax payers money. There are several ponds in this course with huge bass, crappie, panfish, pickeral, and catties.
Why wait to spring time to fish when u have perfectly good ice to fish on.

There is like 9 ponds or more out there so there is plenty of room.

I use to work there and Charlie is a very nice guy it probaly wouldn't hurt to ask but if they give you and grief just say Dick Nassberg says this is open to public for fishing and if there is a problem with it take it up with him. But it is always nice to show some respect i fish it every year and I never had to ask but I also know Charlie so that might help. He lives at the big house by the pond. Adam

More then likely I will be there or out in the state game lands in Montgomery this weekend since I live there and just want to unwind from a long week at work. So the chances are very good lol.

The the one on the vintage by the par 3 I think it is hole number 12 or 13 is really good for cattie and it is has some lunker bass in it. Then the pond on hole 17 on the vintage is really good for the pan fish. The ponds on the challenge besides the one by the Pro house are kinda new to having fish so they may not be the best for ice fishing, but the pond by the Pro's house is great for every type of fish. More then likely i will be hitting up the pond on the vintage course for the catties are because I use to open water fished it and got ahold of a lunker bass that i couldn't even pull in on 10lbs. test. If i do go over i am going to hit the vintage course there is 2 ponds really close to each other that we will be able to put flags in both ponds and see them both. I want some catties from the one pond and the other I will jig for Panfish. If anyone else wants to go email and I can give you my number to get ahold of me. I plan on going around 8 or 9am. Adam

I won't be home till Friday around 10:30 and I still need to get my auger running it won't turn over. There was 12+ of ice over there I am sure that there is still alot there. If you wanna go over Friday afternoon send me an email on here and I will shot you my number. Hopefully we don't get skunked like we did last Saturday. Adam

Erie would be nice but I have to be back to work on Monday I am trying to find out if they are solid or not too. I think it may just need a spark plug. Adam

Are you allowed to just walk on to these ponds or do you have to ask permission. And, what is the easiest way to get to the ponds?
