That's the problem, eaglejac.............. ...................... ........no kayak!  ::)

Chris- looks like we're the only stubborn ones still holding out hope.................. ...................... .......however slim that may be!  ;)

it ain't slim dude. it's over. To adapt means to change tactics to match prevailing circumstances. And you definately need a kayak ;)

We may have a reprieve coming.  This morning the water in my pool was completely melted but at 4:00PM it wasn't only skimmed over it actually had 1/2 an inch of ice and it was 26 degrees.  On my way to work tonight around 11:30PM it was down to 8 degrees.  REALLY NICE in my book, just wish this happened instead of that damn warm up.  It might be a short lived reprieve but either way I'll, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, take any extra ice time I can get.

HAHAHAHA it certainly isn't the first time I was told that and I'm sure it won't be the last.

Yukoner, that post of your's is a beautiful sight.  Thanks for the invite and I'd LOVE to take you up on that offer but the only problem is I wouldn't want to leave ever.  My Wife tells me all the time I must have been a mountain man in a past life.

Well, you could bring your 338-378 and hunt woods bison as well as fish.

Does she like bison?  Enough to consider moving?  The season is still open for another 25 days.

I'd definitely bring my .338-378 with me to hunt since that's my favorite rifle, that rifle is awesome to say the least.  I don't know if she ever had bison but I think she'd try it.  Tonight I got her to try some Moose steaks that my friend gave me from the moose he got in New Foundland this year.  Now me on the other hand I could easily live off of fish, deer, elk, moose, caribou, and small game.

Don't give up on PA just yet boys! Looks like another good cold snap coming this weekend with lows in single digits!  @)  ANd it might just stick around all (next) week instead of just a couple days!

I'm not putting my gear away just yet!  ;)  Might not be good for the weekend, but I think next week just might be a possibility!

That's what we do, although we don't hunt deer in the Yukon.  Mountain sheep is a nice substitute. :)

It was -35 here at 6:00 this morning.  Definitely taking the extension next outing.

I love how you think, you're truly an ice fisherman after my own heart.

Ted having to use an extension on the auger would be a dream come true.  I have a feeling I'd fit right in up there with you guys.

Guys, it's March. Here in PA we don't make a lot of ice in March, we hope what we have doesn't melt too fast and we don't have any... you guys are such optimists, LOL!!!

I think my wife would describe it more along the lines as a combination of being hell bent, determined, and having ice on the brain.   ;D
