I had a good time today at the get together. Nice to meet several members face to face for first time. Thanks to all that brought food and helped out. Everything was tasty - especially the elk burgers. We did pretty decent fishing once we got away from the main crowd. Caught some decent sized gills, and average crappies and perch. Did see one Crappie landed beside us that was really nice.

Once again the get together was great! It was really nice to put even more names together with faces this year. Congrats to all the prize winners! Thanks also goes out to all who brought something to share, without your generosity, it just wouldn't be the same. Thanks to everyone who spent time on the stoves preparing the food that we all enjoyed. And last but not least, thanks to all of you for coming out and spending a day on the ice with fellow members from the best web forum...ICE SHANTY!!!!

I'm glad it was a great turn out, as I knew it would be! Unfortunitly I unexpectidly had a change of plans and couldn't make it. It seems a wrestling tourny popped up at the last minute and of course that had to take front seat. But, there is always next year! Looking a the weather forcast and seeing a flood watch being put into effect for Monday pretty much state wide I think the meet was perfect timing as icefishing season may come to a close soon. I hope not as it's suppose to get cold again through Feb. 6th but this high water may destroy alot of ice.
P.S. Hey John is that digger in the forground, in the very first picture you posted.. sure has a resemblance...lol

the guys that i brought to the get-together had a great time and they had just enough busch light to have fun because the fishing was not at its best they were really impressed what a bunch of hard water fishing guys and girls could do together and have fun
nice to meet every body and next time my gas stove will be the new one i left at home lol

cant believe i missed this. was supposed to be in hosp for 48 hours ended up being 7 days .
