Well its that time of the year again!! I was hoping we could get a lake picked here soon so we don't have the controversy that we had last year. Just to let you new guys know where we had our gatherings the first three years. the first was held on Beechwood, then on Lake Jean, and last year was on Rose Valley. I am thinking that this years event will be held at Sayers. I will talk to the members that came last year and get their opinion. I was also thinking that we could set a date for Jan 23.

I had such a good time last year, even if there was no ice I'd be there. Count me in, and this time I'm bringing my son, gfisher95, and more tipups, food, the gas stove, etc, etc. LOL!

That sounds great for timing (idle weekend between 2 tourney weekends) but unfortunate for me to make it as I am planning a Boyscout ice outing on Walker that weekend (whichever date Sat or Sun that the boys and parents decide is best).

Also sounds like you have a good following. Participation should be high.

Thanks for getting the auger turning or ball rolling or whatever.

I may be headed up to Beechwood when she locks up safe. Any chance I'll run into you there?

we had a get together up there a few yrs back
on the way from pgh i hads yto stop and get tires
after dark i broke the glass on my lantern had to go to walmart to rel=place it
and had to chase my shanty across the ice
Bean was there lol

I was there also. Some guys had a total mess with the snow storm we got. The fishing was less than steller that year. In the past couple years it's common to have 50 to 100 fish days. Seems more crappies now than perch, but they need to lift the panfish regs to get some size. Still a fun lake to fish.

I'll more than likely be there. For those that have never fished at Sayers before, if your using tip-ups bring about 5 times more minnows than you think you'll need. Just sayin

C.C, Last trip on the ice last year at Sayers, Son a I went through about 7 dozen fatheads in about three hours dead sticking for crappie and perch.

Yea, I was there for that one also, all I remember is a zillion people and even more 3inch perch. I'm really looking forward to a relaxing day on the ice, might not even fish

So are we going out of that same place? Someone needs to fly a IS flag up high, I had a heck of a time finding everyone last time...............unl ess they were hiding from me

That place was good for parking, but bad for fishing. Maybe suggest to meet down at the cut(Hunters run cove). That place freezes early and fishes better also.

also has bath rooms at the end of the parking lot, for the female icefisher
