I've never fish it but got an invite, from a G.M. manager, would like to try it,any advice, and is there a size limit on panfish, and what area would be a good place to start, with out  giving away any hot spots. Thanks Captain 54

Blue gills got to be 7" and crappie 9".  When the main lake freezes I like the winter launch go to the other side of the lake
by the mountainside and find some perch in 18 - 25 ft.  I like swedish pimples and small rapala jigging raps tipped with maggots.  For crappie, Ice flies with maggots work well for me.

Are you talking Sayers or Bear Wallow? If your going to Bear Wallow, take chains and a shovel. There is no winter maintenance on the road and it gets BAD. Don't worry about a good starting place. If there's 10 people on the lake it will be full :roflmao:

A few years ago when i was much younger and dumber, I went off roading there in my 2wd s-10. I had to walk 6 or 7 miles down into hillsgrove to use phone at the store and get a friend to bring up a log skidder and get me out.

I wish I could come out.  Oh well, at least the van is working again.  I took the alternator down to Sunbury and had it fixed.  $49 to repair it and $130 to get another one.  the spare that I had from the Blazer didn't fit on the Safari  :(

Just pull in like your going to the park office and just keep going straight. After you pass the beach area and the winter launch, you'll see some orange cones. Just weave around them and stay to the right, you can't miss it. There is a parking lot but it fills quickly and then you have to just park along the road but there is lots of room.

People refer to the narrow section of water between hunters cove and the main lake as the cut
