Giving my wife xmas ideas and I could use a few more small jigging hard baits. Thoughts between Lindy darters, Salmo chubby darters, or rapala slab raps? I’d be interested in the smallest sizes. My current stock is mostly jigging raps with one chubby darter and some small lipless crank baits. For bass, perch, and trout mostly.

Rapala slab raps would be my vote
-
mine too, had good luck with those at the mile ;)
-
Slab raps are great! So are Rippin Raps
-
i would try to mix it up or try something new. maybe some spoons. kastmasters, slender spoons etc.
-
Thanks guys. I might point her to the slab raps.

I mainly fish for perch and trout, I have all that you listed, and I’ve used the chubby darter the most, then the slab rap.

Chubby darter I like.

Thanks. Spoons would not be new to me though. I’ve been using them for years. Mainly Swedish pimples, Pk flutter fish, northland buckshot, and kastmaster. I just picked up a bunch of Lindy rattling flyers for this year.

One of two things I always have rigged up is a rattle spoon (other is the chubby darter). I prefer the vmc in UV glo perch, I have a couple of that color in every size. every species that I’ve caught through the ice has come on that spoon at one point or another.

slab raps perch pattern for me , also give bill lewis tiny trap some thought.

Has anyone actually caught some slabs with the slab rap?

There was a very polished YouTube video up a few years back showing a couple of guys fishing the south side of the Mile (where dreams are made and hearts are broken) with what
appeared to be Rattlin' Raps fished deadstick under JawJackers which seemed sort of odd until you see their results. Wish I could find that video again. Sent me on a spendy
shopping spree for Rattlin' Raps.

That sounds like a great clip. I am trying to find it but have not had any luck. If you find it you should put up a link.
