Pleasant pond/Cobb stream
« on: Jan 26, 2019, 06:43 PM »
Hello all.
Does anybody ice fish the Pleasant Pond section of cobbosseecontee stream? Looks like an interesting place within the river system. What lives in there? Figuring it's connected to the Kennebec Anything is Possible. I thank you in advance for any info

I try to get there once a year. It's a typical warm water fishery with white and yellow perch, crappie, sunfish, bass, pickerel and pike. Fish don't migrate between Pleasant Pond and the Kennebec River. There are three dams with no fishways on Cobbossee Stream below Pleasant Pond.

Used to fish it regularly years back. Lots of nice bass thru the ice along with all the other warm water species. Supposedly there are pike in there but I have never caught one. I used to get quite a few brookies in there believe it or not.

Brooke’s in pleasant pond fished there for the last twenty years never seen one pulled out of there.  But pike are plentiful now there and on cobbosee!!
