Sunapee Fishing??
« on: Jan 21, 2019, 03:14 PM »
Was hoping and planning on coming up this weekend to do some ice fishing on Lake Sunapee around Fishers Bay... was wondering if any locals had a recent ice thickness report or tips for that lake, area?? Fairly new to the sport and any and all advice is helpful :)

Haven’t fished it in a long time but I know people were fishing it a couple weeks ago
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

You should be able to get on at the beach at the state park.

14” of ice in front of the state park last weekend. Jigging has been fairly productive.

Hit Lake Blaisdell off of Route 103 about 3 weeks ago.  12-14 inches of ice.  Caught 20 fish between two guys on Medium Shiners.  Tackle Shack is on Route 114 couple miles past 103 intersection. Nice place and people.
Keep those holes clean and smooth

Using bucktail jig with cut sucker on it.

Another guy that I sold some tip up suckers caught one off the state beach on tip up 6.5lbs.
