Just on the news
A leak has been found on the dam but there wasn't anything else
Hopefully nothing serious it would be a shame to loose that lake

I fished this lake for the first time early summer this year. If they drain it 15-20ft is there even gonna be any lake left? I was only at the upper end and it seemed pretty shallow. Got a real nice 21" chain pickeral outta there, but it was in maybe 12ft.

I was up there a few days ago and the lake may have been about 2 vertical feet low.  Last week the news said they could repair it with new logs in the overflow.  Should be good to go for ice.  Not sure if a boat could be launched currently or not but there were kayak's out

Glad to hear it sounds like a quick fix, I hear about other damns that just sit unfixed... Kahle lake is 1 example its been drawn down for years.
I was only at Highpoint once with my kayak but when I initially heard a draw down of 10-15 feet I figured that was the end of it. That's alot of wate.
