Looks like the "Almanacs" have different outlooks for my area in New York

Well, one of them is gonna be correct! Curious how the US/Canada border affects the weather, the "old" farmers almanac calls it warm/wet on the US side, cold/snowy up north of the border. Hhhhmmm.

And then, some experts in the weather field say there is zero chance of accurately predicting weather months in advance.  I put no stock into any predictions beyond two weeks.
