Road to the Ice Machine

I am considering getting a different vehicle mainly for ice fishing.  What are your suggestions on a machine that can pull my atv trailer, haul a shack and gear?

The easy answer is a 1/2 ton pickup but that's too easy. Today I use a Subaru Forester, I can get me and one other person around in that, but its tight and I'm looking for an upgrade on capacity.

Right now its between looking for a smaller truck like a tacoma or a larger SUV that will give me the room I need.  I am open to suggestions.

What would be wrong with an S 10 pick up, or Blazer. Trailblazer? Ford Ranger. Old Bronco.

if you could find a early 90's blazer/jimmy 4.3 with the 5 speed stick 4wd i would jump on it.  had one that couldn't get stuck if you tried and that was with terrible tires.
