First time to Cascade
« on: Jan 23, 2018, 07:17 PM »
Not looking to get on anyone’s hot spot, but have a question about Cascade. Not having quads or sleds, where would you recommend a first timer there to try? Only been there once during summer so I’m really not familiar with it. I’m staying with friend in Kuna next weekend and want to try it out. I’ve read a few reports and such. Just looking for a lil point in right direction. Really looking to find perch. Thanks in advance.

I would read up on the Cascade conditions and reports page, there is a wealth of info to help you get on the fish. Poison Creek is a good spot to out of but has lots of people on the weekends. In general the North end of the lake is perch country. Find a nice break and fish the whole way, shallow to deep, deadsticks with small perch pattern jigs tipped with a piece of a worm has been very effective for me.
