It was caught on small hexfly with bee moth. As far as parking there's room for plenty. Slough protects herself these gills can be tough and most walk away with only a few or none. Its the locals that u have to worry about my friend they know how to play the game.😉 And they come day after day. For me its off to open water.

Besides this forum how many other pages did this pic show up on? How many "friends" got a copy of the pic in their feed? How many "shared" your pics with their "friends"? Posting pics of a great catch isn't the problem. Plenty of the members of this forum post pics of their great catches they just do not advertise the location. As one of the "locals" that have been fishing this lake since the 60's believe me my friend that parking lot and the lake do get full.

What does it matter ? If you been fishing that lake since the 60's then there has obviously been something bringing you back each time ?? And I highly dought this is the first Gill posted from the slough on social media ! I can't stand guys who complain about posting good news ect about a lake they fish . These are the trolls who will gather info from everyone else and not share squat with anyone ! It's ok for people to post about other lake till they post on something that interests you . I'm sure the lake isn't getting any more pressure then last week or the year before . So that being said with you still going this long no body has put a hurt on your fishing. So if you don't agree with this then maybe you shouldn't be on a public site posting public information .......

As far as this site goes pretty sure nothing is a secret any more about the old girl. And I shared it else where I didn't mention lake in other post but its no serect. There was a time I used to get butt hurt over people spreading the word about big fish. But now I enjoy when others do well.

Exactly man that's what it's about ! Bugs me that there is so many selfish people it's a sport we all SHARE it's a PUBLIC lake not a private lake word of mouth travels just as fast as the internet. I've fished here for 29 years and it's gone down hill for the last 20

Fish: "Slob-o-saurous" as one WI guy says...

Fishing: As much as we'd like to think so, there are no secret spots and no magic baits. Advertising like this will bring additional pressure to bear until they figure you have to work for fish like that.

I routinely see small lakes in these parts that cycle with success. Good fishing, get hammered into oblivion, get ignored, population rebuilds, good fishing, ad infinitum. Blah, blah, blah...

Not discounting or belittling anyone's right to fish as they wish or bemoan that very thing. Just an observation.

He probably pulled it out of one of the holes I'd been fishing since daylight 5 minute's after me and my buddy left LOL.
Glad you guys caught a few and your buddy caught his PB,don't worry about the guys crying over a picture the secret has been out since the 70's.
