How’s Bomoseen setting up? Any ice at the green dump yet?

Bomo is frozen over and people are out there fishing. I don't know the exact thickness but most of the lakes around that area right now have about a foot.

8 Inches near the green dump as of New Years and it is still making ice. The fish have been bitting too!

I fished at the Green Dump before the snow and there was about 8 inches of ice. There were a few fish around but, overall it was slow for the time I was there. I did have an amazing thing happen. I miraculously hooked an Iphone 5C that appears to have been on the bottom for a year or 2, I have cleaned it up and am attempting to dry it out to see if it will still work. If any one reading this lost a phone there, feel free to pm me and I'll be happy to return it. Tight lines to all.

I suspect that this is an elaborate joke perpetrated by my friend we call “dot com” because only he and Dale K know about my iPhone being dropped down a hole two years ago. If this is for real it’s nothing short of an absolute miracle. Short of that this is the funniest post I’ve ever read online. If this IS real please PM me and I’ll buy you a beer!

The guy I knew lost his galaxy he just told me but I’ve ended up getting it back on a treble hook with an underwater camera. Probably no good after that but green dump is apparently the place to lose a phone!

caught 100 Smelt last Thursday with a good friend... need a good light and a vexilar or some other device... they are all over the place and never the same depth!

Several of my perch have thrown up smelt when I got them on the ice. Lots of smelt. They are smaller this year.
