im already awake, i wonder how many people will be out there first ice this year. ive gone up every year for the past 3 years and it has always been pretty dead, usually one other small group of people out there or nobody. cant wait , even though the fishing is usually slow i love standing on pretty much the first safe ice in NH

i think with the way the weather is going there will be more then just jericho, but who knows.....reminds me of a few years ago when we were fishing 5 inches and it was first weekend in december.......gile pond in sutton usually freezes pretty quick, but bring some bait......nice pickeral and bass....most of the time there are too many flags....if that's possible.....

Yeah, I saw the same but at least the cold weather gas dropped the lake temps earlier than normal.  Got to put a coat of paint on the hard side soon.

The F&G was to do a Pike Survey of Jericho this year according to there Inland Fisheries Division
2009 Master Operational Plan.

I think I will email the biologist up there to see if it ever happened.

I sent an email to the biologist that did you lake survey of Jericho this year, this is what he had to say. His complete report will be out in 2010.

"A survey of Northern pike in Jericho Lake, Berlin was conducted in April of 2009. In two weeks of netting, 18 fish were caught representing different sizes and age classes indicative of a healthy population"
