First Day of Spring!

Today is the first day of spring and even though we had a milder winter it will be nice to see the snow dissapearing.

A few signs of spring  already here are the horned larks and crows, just waiting on the arrival of the geese and then the frogs and the rest of the migratory bird life.

What are always a few signs of spring in your areas?

I would say Robins...but they came back a couple weeks ago..then we got a foot of snow. lol. Goofy birds timed that one wrong.

Also, been seeingf some geese headed back North so that's a nice change

For some unknown reason we have got a bunch of brain dead robins that hang out here in CNY all winter   For me it is the return of the Red Wing Blackbirds.  Saw the first ones week before last.

The first big sign of spring for me is seeing people(including me) out golfing in short sleeve's. Darn, I forgort that was last month

All the students start wearing shorts to school and no coat...oh wait they do that all year long

Guess it's really after the icebreakers go through the river, and you finally realize you just can't walk on the ice any more..then it's spring...Esox

The ospreys have returned to their nest on our electrical service pole and the Karuk tribe with the U.S. fish &wildlife have set their traps for fish surveys .

See??  There are 2 famous "grassy knolls" in the country..and probably a few more as well....lol!!!

There was an story in the Oswego paper that Rudy's opened for the year on Saturday I think..or one day alst week.....
