Whitecaps yesterday morning about 10am when we drove by on the highway.  But it was 6 degrees and calm in Townsend when we came back last night.  So they should be making ice now.

The webcam at the Silos showed it iced over today...finally!  Now we just have to hope it stays cold.  Here's the link...

I heard a rumor that there will not be any spotters used for the Team tournament at Canyon Ferry this year.  Anyone know if this is true, and will it still be a 4 man team or 3 ?

Lost River,
That webcam link is quite the ticket. Thanks for that! been checking it daily now and it looks promising but it would be much appreciated if anyone knows an actual ice thickness. Living in Bozo, I just don't want to make the trip and then not make it out on the ice. has anyone been out to Toston Damn either?

you could always call the Silo's and ask them for a report on the ice condition

Parking shouldn't be a problem. There is another entrance further up from the first one, everyone will just have to park up top and walk or take 4 wheeler down to bottom.

The crapter should have a predrilled hole so you can "chum" and jig at the same time.

if anyone makes it out by the silos this weekend I'd love to hear of ice conditions and your luck. I'm hoping to hit the ice this next week. just can't decide to where to go. Dailey of Canyon Ferry. Sound like a lot of fish chasing out on Dailey. Guess the weather might also decide my fate, since most often when going to Dailey we get blown around like a sail in a hurricane.

Caught one for each of us,2 dink walleye right off the bat then fished for 3 more hours without a bite.5 " of ice about 20 yards off shore down by the dikes, didnt go out any further as the ice seemed to thin as I went out.
