;D ;D ya i have allot of $$$ on this years tourney and know way will i give up the spots were we are nailing them. I have had sum of the best fishing the last two weeks on this lake. Sum of u are out their pounding the lake and not finding them, I'm willing to share the lakes and days I'm hitting them as for my spots your on your own. The key to finding fish is pre fish the he!! out if it,I fish all the tourneys that i can and prefishing is the most costly! ;D I will say this know one is fishing were I'm at and its kinda nice to be alone. Good luck

Anybody fish there today???  I am heading there tomorrow and am wondering how the ice looks as far as slush.  How has the fishing been?

My wife and I fished Lake Mary Ronan from 9am - 3:30pm today and caught 17 perch worth keeping. Ice conditions were good but the ice is a bit odd there is about 3" of slush frozen super hard but below it is about 1" of water and then hard ice for another 6" under that for a total of about 10" of ice/water/ice combo. More than a few folks out there on 4-wheelers and snow machines. It was pretty cold up there, with windchill it was around -3 or so when we left this afternoon.

I was up there today as well with a friend, and we did pretty good.  We brought home about 50 cleaners, and threw back a bunch.  The best bite was the first hour of light.  We left at 4:00.  Hey cornbread where were you, we were in the red eskimo tent towards the south or left from the launch.

shawdawg, we were up at the far north end of the lake just in front of lake mary ronan lodge & resort. We had a little popup green backpacking tent that my wife was sitting in with a heater fishing out the door of and I was sitting out front in of it in a camp chair. I think we were probably wearing exactly what we are wearing in my profile picture here on iceshanty. Did you guys have a medium sized brown dog with you? The red popup I saw there on the north end had two guys and a brown or tan dog.

Cornbread, no we didn't have a dog with us.  We parked at the state park and headed towards camp tuffit, to the south.  fished in about 22 feet of water all day.
