Does anyone here fish in Virginia?

I grew up in Virginia and ice fished occasionally as a kid, when it was safe.  I was searching for Virginia under the list of states, but it wasn't there.  I know it doesn't get that cold, but people do ice fish there.

I work in Leesburg and pass several frozen ponds on the way.  Not many lakes with access at least in Loudoun Co.  Not much support for supplies.  My friends at work think I am crazy and that winter is just something to be endured.

Most ice in Va. comes in a glass. The only reason we have decent ice in Md. (western Maryland) is we are in the mountains. Most ice is over 2,000 feet in elevation. I might be wrong on the elevation, it my be over 1,000 feet. I don't look at the elevation signs on the highway. You may find some Va. ice in the mountains. Good luck and be extra careful. This is not Montana.

I live in VA but plan on ice fishing at Deep Creek Lake. My son and I went last year but this year are prepared thanks to Santa! I think the far western counties of VA up in the mountains might be fishable for a few weeks anyhow.

I checked the elevation, we fish at just under 3,000 feet.
