fishing at Fort Whyte

wanting to go there tomorrow (friday)
bring the girlfriend and young one to try to catch something
just wondering if anyone has any tips for where we should try

fish on the large lake closest to the parking lot (aka Devonian)

you will see the many old holes on the east side of the lake (closest to buildings), try somewhere on the middle of the east side, or in the south east corner, fish deeper water 15-20, use tipups and smelt if you have, or else deadstick with jigs and shiners, there was a bench out there on the east side and we were catching fish around it on Sunday, not sure if it will be out there or in the same spot tho. prolly pike only, and nothing big, but closeby! hopefully the young one can catch himself a fish

Thx Aaron for sharing some info on FWC with GT. I was talking to him earlier today and told him you are the guy to talk to about FWC, it is nice you responded to his query. We are going out gator hunting together next Thursday.

Looks like the Red is not going to happen this weekend, so it is shaping up to be a road trip.
